We are now looking for assistants for the food service. Our unit prepares meals for preschools, schools, and elderly care in Degerfors municipality. In the municipality, food is a means to achieve good and equal health. Meals should be designed in such a way that they promote health and the environment, both in the long and short term. The focus is on the positive dining experience for each guest.

Job responsibilities

We are looking for you who want to work as a substitute and can work alone in receiving kitchens or in a team in one of our receiving or production kitchens.

Kitchen Assistant:

The tasks vary greatly depending on where you work and how large the kitchen is, but in all our kitchens, meals are prepared with care and with the guest in focus. As a kitchen assistant, you are an important part of developing our salad buffet, welcoming our guests in the restaurant, and ensuring that it is inviting. Tasks related to dishwashing and cleaning may occur in our kitchens. Our production kitchens also send out meals to other units, and accuracy is important in these moments.

Meal Assistant:

The tasks vary depending on which preschool kitchen you end up in. The daily work involves serving lunch, snacks, and preparing breakfast for preschool children. Cleaning and dishwashing are included in the daily work. Work in food data systems is included.

Working hours vary; Monday to Friday, working hours are between 06:30 - 15:30, but we also have weekend work scheduled between 06:30 - 15:00. You will enter your availability in Time Care Pool and be booked through that system. You can be booked at short notice, which is important that you are prepared for.

As a substitute, you should be able to work across the entire operational area, which includes Degerfors and the locality of Åtorp.

Qualifications

The minimum requirement for education is upper secondary education in food or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

You have a sense for cooking and service and take responsibility for ensuring that the assignment is carried out well with the guest in focus.

You should be able to work both independently and in a group, be responsible and proactive, have an easy time collaborating, and be able to give and take instructions from other employees.

You should have good language skills, which means you should be able to speak, read, write, and understand Swedish. Basic computer skills are required.

You also contribute to a good working environment in our workplaces.

A driving license is required to be able to move between the different workplaces, especially Åtorp school.
